Going forward-Jason, Sam, Elizabeth, Jake, and Franco

I've been thinking all weekend that Franco could easily set up Luke with his car being at a deserted Haunted Star however I still don't understand the 'why' unless it is to test Jason by straining his relationship with Sonny. I think it would have been further tested by making the 'hit and runner' Sam but since TG is scheduled for his vacation it was perhaps more convenient for the writers to go this way.

(Heaven forbid their convenient writing give us a cohesive storyline.)

Since we now know that Franco is back on canvas and I'm confident he took Jake the only question is when Jason will know Jake is alive and how it will impact Jason's relationships with Elizabeth and Sam. I think "Jake's Death" is going to be the catalyst that will bring Jason and Elizabeth together (not saying I want that, just saying that I see the potential of this happening as a couple would cleave together to protect their "back from the dead child"). After all, Elizabeth has stated that she feels guilty for keeping Jason from his son and she is the queen of bad decisions/emotional decisions/decisions on the fly. When Jake returns Elizabeth is going to make many emotional decisions.

Jason is thinking 'all heart/no brain' for the first time since his brain injury. Kudos to SB for really showing that transition. It has been a subtle slide ever since Michael was shot and then accelerated somewhat when he was imprisoned but now it is full force. Jason is no longer Stone Cold. He 'may' be able to retain his 'killer status' but he has become very human and it's sweet to see.

It will be curious to see how this ultimately affects how he deals with Franco. He may not be able to pull the trigger when he needs to if his compassion overwhelms his anger and need for revenge. I'm certain that will be the case with Luke (since Luke makes it to vacation, haha)

Sam.. on the other hand, seems more and more distant. Perhaps the blast affected her emotionally and she can pick up where Jason left off. That would actually be fun (twisted but fun).

General Hospital - Bringing Jake Back

Because I hate the idea of 3 year old Jake Webber dying on General Hospital I have worked my brain overtime into a plausible storyline that would 'Bring Jake Back'.
So ... here goes.
This rests on the premise that little ‘Jake’ was so mangled in the car accident that he was unidentifiable, his parents don't go in to say goodbye because they are too stricken, etc.
1) The black, no name, unidentified car that went through the intersection belongs to Franco (assuming Franco or a henchman have been stalking Elizabeth's with a fair haired child on hand just waiting for a moment when little Jake would be standing on the road or perhaps they went to take Jake and he made it convenient by standing on the road's edge - you know how Franco likes to twist things into being the other persons 'fault'
2) An identical, mangled tow-headed little boy is left at the scene (in the same clothes) and Jake is whisked away for whatever nefarious dealings Franco has planned or simply used to taunt Jason down the road. Franco is anything if nice (he tossed a guy off a building to die in his stead as a decoy.. so this is a very Franconian thing to do
3) Hysterical Elizabeth only sees a crumpled blond baby boy on the side of the road, calls 911 and goes in from there. Note: I don’t believe Elizabeth or Lucky see Jake at the hospital because of the condition he is in.
4) Joss’ kidney transplant leads to a CLUE in the coming weeks that Jake is alive. (Mention of a mismatched blood type or something and then Jason can go on the hunt).
We need to preserve the great dynamic that is POSSIBLE by keeping another generation of the Quartermaine legacy family alive.

Take three... here I go

Ah.. I know I never write here.. but I'm starting.. "write now"
because I have something to say, at any rate, about a show I love: General Hospital.

mad girl

I joined the Veg News online book club last night and the first book is "Mad Cowboy", followed by "Skinny Bitch" and "The Jungle". Well light summer reading was just what I had in mind so I signed up, downloaded "Mad Cowboy" on my Kindle and started reading.. and omg... (so completely NOT light!)

I'm a vegan and have been for a long time. I'm a vegan for many different reasons. (my health, animals, the planet) I just never, ever knew/realized/understood that man made cows, pigs and chickens carnivores. I'm so completely disturbed by this.

The book discussion is on Monday. I'm mid through Ch 2 and we must complete Ch 3 by Monday. The pace is easy but the topic is definitely tough. I can't imagine going into this a meat eater. Poor You. :( I would be even more grossed out. (But education IS the point).

Those poor animals.. it is horrifying enough that their entire purpose is to be consumed by man - but to be fed dead, rendered animals? ugh.

I realize this is not a very happy welcome back post since I've been off Blogger for SO long.. but you must start somewhere. :)

wb, me.

But Can They Sing

Carmine is still on "But Can They Sing"
My favorite part was when he said last week... and I quote..
It's hard being on a show called "But you can't sing!"
O M G

He is number 1
The judges fall over themselves in a rush of congratulations...
except poor Ant. He kept his mouth shut this week.

Morgan is too dragqueen for me.. and not in a great dragqueen kinda way.. sigh :(

Bai was crazy and adorable.
Out of control and I loved it!

Bye Bye Antonio.. sob... I will miss those fine fine deltoids...
sniff...

i need a good blogging

Boy it's been ages since I’ve blogged on here!

I ended up with 5 MySpace pages, promoting a benefit, housing a very dour and somewhat lazy Katrina victim, having a client rip me off for $923, and now I'm headed off to Seattle for the ROCKRGRL Music Conference...

so... What's on my mind...

VH1's latest Celebreality offering "But Can They Sing?"

I think it is being funded by the Gotti family. They kiss Carmine Gotti Agnello's Jr's perfectly toned buttocks with such abandon that it is embarrassing. He sang so poorly in the first episode that I was truly uncomfortable, and in the second eppy he couldn't rap. Even the "vocal coach" pointed out in the rehearsal tape that he had rhythm issues.

His efforts at Snoop Dogg were sub par, to be nice... but as soon as he finished tossing is skin tight black singlet (that's wife beater to the fashion uneducated) to the mass of screaming tweens a beaming Ahmet turned to the "celebrity judges" who were falling off their stools to tell him how FABULOUS an ON IT he was! Jackie tells him he's the "Whole Package" and he's "got it all!" Beaming with enthusiasm as the praise is lavished on young Gotti his chest rises with pride.

You know the ink on the check to VH1 has barely dried.

Crap.. I realize now there will be gangstas at my door...
I had previously dreamed of working for Mrs. Hottie Gotti.. I always liked the TV show. Hell, I'd even offer to give young Carmine vocal lessons for the right price. He is a cutie patootie and has everything except the vox. But I think you need some raw talent.. I don't know that this show is doing ANYONE any favors.

Sigh.

and don't even get me started on Bai Ling :(

drink better water? how about "give better customer service?"

a little back story: for the last year or so I have been drinking Endurance: Peach Mango Vitamin Water from Glaceau purchased at my local Whole Foods for $1.59 a bottle. Expensive, Yes. Tasty, Yes. It also makes my hair and nails grow, I have more energy, and when I have a migraine it is JUST the thing. In May the Endurance supply started running low. By June the supply had dwindled. We had checked all the local Whole Foods. I have sent emails to Glaceau. I have checked with Whole Foods several times. The end result is that Dr. Pepper is now the distributor for Vitamin Water and does not choose to order that flavor. I have written to Dr. Pepper requesting that falvor. I have written Glaceau twice. Their best advice?? Google the product and find "any store" that has it and order it from there.. so much for supply and demand.

Whole Foods will order Endurance as soon as it becomes available...

There is no customer service in the following email from Glaceau.. as far as I can see THEY should be selling ME their product, I should not be digging for it.

BLEH.

What follows is my response to their reply to my latest request.

Hi,

The flavor was previously available, up until June 2005. Once Whole Food switched distributorships the flavor became unavailable.

When I do a search on your website there are two stores that show up. Both stores do not carry the flavor any longer because Dr Pepper handles the distributorship for this region.

Certainly the manufacturer can help me order the product it manufactures.

Who better to know where their product actually ships?

Supply/demand? The basis of all economics.

At any rate I am very dissapointed that the best you can do is suggest I Google to look for somewhere to buy your product.

Please try to assist me. Otherwise I shall have to turn to a different product.

Take care of your customer - without us you have no one to sell your product to.

Dr Pepper is the DISTRIBUTOR for Endurance Mango Peach Vitamin Water by
Glaceau , at least according to Glaceau (the manufacturer) who
instructed me to write to Dr Pepper to request that Dr Pepper release
Distribution for the flavor Endurance Mango Peach Vitamin Water by
Glaceau so that my local Whole Foods zip code 75206 will be able to
order it.

Several of us who have enjoyed this product previously prior to Dr
Pepper taking over distribution have written in per Glaceau's
suggestion to request this flavor be released.

Thank you,
Annette Conlon
